MK aka GARE MAT K considered one of the most recognized Colombian DJ's & live performers, new figure and rising star arist in America. Having studied architecture and living in the city of Bogota, achieved great success in the field of electronic music after being voted the 2nd best DJ of the competition 'Heineken' and "Thirst" by Smoking 'Jo and Tiesto in their promotional tour among more than 200 national DJ's.
From a very early age and taking advantage of different family trips outside the country, Gare is interested in bands like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Brian Eno, Nine Inch Nail, Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Joy Division, The Pet Shop Boys and Erasure among others.
Being still at school, Gare is invited to collaborate in two different musical projects as music manager of a rock band, and the other in charge of the electronic rhythms, samples and loops of an experimental band.
His strictly music selection goes from classy minimal house, new tech and modern tech house, to avant-garde progressive stuff making a perfect joint venture between concept and dance-floor party, including exclusive own productions, remixes and edits for artists such as Anthony Pappa, Underworld, Tom Pooks and Alex Young among others. His live performances includes software technologies, midi keyboards, vinyls and exclusive CD-Rs, next to a series of effects and pedals that do of his sets, the most desired by clubs and specialized radios in electronic vanguard music.
His productions are played and supported by Timo Maas, Sasha, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Tom Pooks, Anthony Pappa, Flash Brothers, dPen, Sebastian Davidson, Eelke Kleijn, Kosmas Epsilon, Pole Folder, kasey Taylor and Stian Klo to remember someones.
His first compilation 2xCD entitle Comunicacion, includes tracks from Williams, Nick Warren & Jimmy Van M, Jiva & Rula, IB, Christian Cambas, Rhythm Code, Pitch & Hold, Alex Stealthy, Jim Rivers, Mike Miller and Tim Davison among others in addition to Gare Mat K's collaborations. ‘Comunicacion’ 2xCD was reach #2 in sales all over Colombia
Gare Mat K has edited different productions in label such as Red Light District (Anthony’s Pappa label), Kraft Records (Alex Young label) and Anatolian Beats next to Tom Pooks among others
Gare Mat K has shared stage with John Digweed (two times), Sasha, BT, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, Cassius, Timo Maas, Loco Dice, Danny Howells, Pole Folder, Danny Rampling, Tom Pooks, Stel, Federico Epis and Hatiras to name a few.
Has been invited to play at "Encuentro Electronico" in the city of Bogota, supported by the Canadian festival "Mutek" with a highlighted line up of artists like the ones of Gustavo Lamas, Vladislav Delay, Portable, Marciano, Crackhaus, Tim Hecker and Luomo among others.
Gare has been resident at the renowned club in Medellin B-Lounge, Mizu in the city of Bogota and the ProgreZOO night’s world over.
His presentations as DJ and live performer, has travelled for Colombia, part of South and North America, and now growing up in Europe, having been introduced in Ibiza, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile, Montevideo, Guayaquil, Miami and Punta Cana in the most renowned clubs.
Gare Mat K has been invited to play along with the electronic music band called ‘Posthuman’, at the most important festival in South America "Rock Al Parque", front of more than 50.000 people, getting awesome reactions.
Actually, Gare has finished his second compilation CD next to Best Minimal artist of the Year Alex Young entitle 'CONTACT/traumfahrt', which includes their own exclusive productions, best worldwide new talents; in addition to selected productions from worldwide producers such as Gaiser, Anthony Pappa, Telefon Tel Aviv, Chris Cargo and Tom Pooks. Gare is also working in several remixes and on his debut original album, which will include remix collaborations from renowned artists around the world.

Progrezo Records has been divided in Masterpiece Series which it’s in charge of compilation CD’s mixed by outstanding DJ’s around the world. Black Series which its in charge of Minimal rhythms, Techno beats and electro sounds. Limited Edition which its in charge of special features. Blue Series which its in charge of Dark and Tribal sounds, and the subdivision Family Garden Recordings focus on Ambient, Downtempo, Trip Hop, Experimental and chill out music.
